MISSOURI BOYS STATE NAMES GRIMSLEY TO ADMINISTRATIVE
ASSISTANT POSITION
Warrensburg,
MO (January 3, 2005) -- The American Legion Boys State of Missouri
Board of Directors (MBS) today announced Dawn Grimsley has joined
the organization as Administrative Assistant. She will be responsible
for general correspondence, minutes, database and records management,
bookkeeping, as well as facilitating the citizen registration process.
“We are excited to have Dawn aboard and look forward to working
with her,” said Craig Ritchie, MBS Director. “Dawn brings
a wealth of diversified experience and remarkable passion to this
position.”
Grimsley has an extensive background in database management and
computer use in addition to excellent communication and people skills.
She most recently was a Research Database Manager for the Center
for Prostate Disease Research at the Wilford Hall Medical Center
located at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. Grimsley previously
served as a Clinical Research Assistant and as a Unit Clerk for
the Cancer Therapy and Research Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Grimsley served in the United States Air Force from 1979 to 1982
where she specialized as a computer programmer. She was responsible
for maintaining the computer programs vital for the interpretation
of photographs taken during reconnaissance missions over hostile
countries and writing conversion program upgrades. During this time,
Grimsley held a Top Secret/Specially Compartmented Information security
clearance.
“I'm very excited about working with a program as well respected
as The American Legion Missouri Boys State program,” Grimsley
said. “I look forward to meeting everyone and becoming a part
of the 'family' everyone has told me so much about.”
Grimsley recently moved to Missouri with her husband Bruce who
is stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base and their two children,
Jared (a sophomore) and Jordon (a seventh grader). She also has
two grown daughters, Cristy and Katie.
