BOYS STATE HEADQUARTERS ANNOUNCES RELOCATION

(WARRENSBURG, MO) – Effective September 7, The American Legion Boys State of Missouri has a new address. Through an agreement with Boys State’s host university, Central Missouri State University (CMSU), Boys State’s new headquarters is now located in the Nattinger/Bradshaw Complex on the west end of the CMSU campus. The new headquarters location was formerly the One-Stop Career Center at CMSU.

In addition to the relocation, the board of directors of The American Legion Boys State of Missouri announced the addition of Bettie Rusher as Manager, Development and Administration, a full-time position on the Boys State staff. Rusher’s responsibilities will include supervising the recruitment of student participants for Boys State, seeking sponsorships for student participants and managing the headquarters office at CMSU. Rusher will provide support to the 16 Boys State District Chairmen and all Boys State staff recruiters throughout the state of Missouri.

“We’re very excited about our relocation to Warrensburg and we look forward to the benefits of having our headquarters office on the same campus where our program takes place each year,” said Mike Stewart, Director of The American Legion Boys State of Missouri. “We’re certain that Bettie will make a huge impact in recruiting and fund-raising on behalf of the Boys State program” added Stewart.

The American Legion Boys State of Missouri celebrated 50 years on the campus of CMSU at the 2002 session this past June.
