Harold L. Caskey
Former seven-term State Senator in Missouri’s 31st District first elected in 1976.  Formerly, served as Majority Caucus Chair, Majority Floor Leader and Assistant Majority Floor Leader.

Robert S. Hunt, M.D. 
Currently, serving as President of the Cape Girardeau Surgical Clinic in Cape Girardeau, MO.  He was elected Governor of Missouri Boys State in 1954.

David L. Knight
Formerly a partner with the Knight, Ford, Wright, Atwill, Parshall and Baker Law Firm now in private practice in Columbia, MO. Attended American Legion Boys Nation in 1954.

George W. Lehr *
Former Missouri State Auditor and Executive Director Central States Pension Fund. In 1988, the Board of Directors of Missouri Boys State created the George W. Lehr Memorial Speakers Chair in honor of the late statesman.

Jerry Litton *
Farmer, National Secretary FFA, former U.S. Congressman from Chillicothe, MO active on the House Committee on Agriculture. Democratic Primary Winner for U.S. Senate in 1976.  Died, tragically in an airplane crash following his primary victory.

Jim Bohannon
Syndicated Talk Show Host on the Westwood One Radio Network.  A 40-year broadcast veteran, he replaced Larry King in 1993 as night-time news talk show host and is now heard on nearly 500 stations nationwide with a listening audience of 7 million people. 

J. Paul Duffendack
Decorated Vietnam War Veteran. Currently a Principal with at HNTB Corporation, one of the nation’s largest architectural fims, located in Overland Park, KS. Currently, serves as Chairman of the Leawood (KS) City Planning Commission.

Tom D. Harmon
Former President of Jackson County State Bank and Commerce Bancshares in Kansas City, MO.  Currently serving as a trustee for Missouri Boys State Memorial Trust.  Currently serving as lifetime member of the MBS Executive Committee. Former Quartermaster of Missouri Boys State.  Inducted to the MBS Hall of Fame in 1996.

Colonel William R. "Rusty" Jones
Retired U.S. Marine Corps Pilot and U.S. Naval Academy Graduate. Flew Cobra Helicopters during Vietnam and commanded a Harrier squadron during Desert Storm. Works as a military consultant and is a member of the board with two aerospace companies. Current member of the MBS Board of Directors and serving as a Trustee of the Missouri Boys State Memorial Trust.

E. Stanley Kroenke
President of The Kroenke Group, Real Estate Investment Firm in Columbia, MO.  In July 2000, became owner of the Denver Nuggets of the NBA, Colorado Avalanche of the NHL and the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO. Also, serves as Vice-Chairman and part-owner of the St. Louis Rams of the NFL.

Thomas Holley
President and CEO of Gramex, Inc., St. Louis, MO. Gramex owns and operates 41 “Deals Nothing More Than A Dollar” discount stores in eight states.

Richard "Smokey" Dyer

Elton W. Fay

Bob Holden
Served as the 53rd Governor of the State of Missouri (2000-2004).  Former two-term State Treasurer. Formerly served as Missouri Legislator from Springfield, MO.  Member of the MBS Board of Directors and formerly Dean of the Boys State Legislative School.

Don G. Lents
Currently, Chairman and Chief Executive at Bryan Cave Law Firm in St. Louis, MO.  He has served for a number of years as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, with principal responsibility for firmwide strategic planning and development.

Jerry Reuss
Former Major League Pitcher with several professional clubs including the Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers.  One of the most successful left-handed pitchers in baseball in the 70's and 80's.  Also a talented radio and television baseball analyst for several major broadcasting networks including ESPN and ESPN2.

Scott Bakula
Television and Film Actor, Producer and Director.  Notable TV credits include UPN’s “Star Trek: Enterprise”, NBC's "Quantum Leap", CBS's "Murphy Brown" and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” television series.  Notable Film credits include 1999 “American Beauty”, 1998 “Major League: Back to the Minors”, 1995 “Lords of Illusion” and 1991 “Necessary Roughness”.  He won a Golden Globe Award for his role as Sam Beckett in TV’s Quantum Leap in 1992 and was nominated for a TONY Award in 1988.

David Bolton
Currently Vice-President of Engineering/Air Moving Motors Division at Emerson Electric Corporation in St. Louis, MO.  Named Division III football All-American in 1981 and  Track and Field All-American in 1980 and 1981.  Won Division III National Championship in the Decathlon in 1981.

Bill Buese
Currently, Head Athletic Trainer and physical education instructor for Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS.  Also, served as a member of the Missouri Boys State staff.

David Clithero
Currently Senior Executive Director of Advancement and Gift Planning at University of Missouri – Columbia, MO.

Brad Edelman
Former Collegiate All-American Lineman at the University of Missouri and NFL Veteran with the New Orleans Saints.  He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1988.  He retired from football following the 1989 season after playing in 90 career NFL games. 

George Guastello II
Currently, President and CEO of American Royal of Kansas City.  The American Royal is one of Kansas City's premier fall events, which annually hosts one of the Midwest's largest livestock exhibitions and rodeos.

Mike Stewart

Prominent Springfield, MO criminal defense attorney in private practice.  Named one of 12 Lawyers of the Year in 2001 by Missouri Lawyers Weekly for his ground breaking work in post-conviction DNA testing under a new Missouri State Statute.  Elected Governor of the 1978 session of Missouri Boys State.

Warner L. Baxter
Currently Executive Vice President and CFO Ameren Corporation and Ameren Services President and CEO in St. Louis, MO.  

Alan Blankenship
Elected Associate Circuit Judge in Stone County, MO 39th Judicial Circuit in November 2002.  Formerly, municipal judge in Branson West. Former MBS Dean of Operations and currently a lifetime member of the Executive Committee of the Missouri Boys State Board of Directors.

Cain S. Devore
Currently working in Hollywood, CA as an actor, voiceover artist and filmmaker.  His acting credits include roles on TV episodes of “Married with Children”, “Search for Tomorrow” and “One Life to Live”.  He represented Missouri Boys State at Boys Nation in 1978.

Currently Director of the Missouri Chapter of the National Federation of Independent Business located in Jefferson City, MO.  Formerly served as Executive Director of the Mining Industry Council of Missouri and Director of Education and Environmental Affairs for the Associated Industries of Missouri.

Larry D. Kay
Currently holds rank of Brigadier General and serves as Assistant Adjutant General – Army, Missouri National Guard in Jefferson City, MO.  Served as Colonel of the Missouri Boys State Highway Patrol in 1978.

Jon Sundvold

Steven L. Grand, Ph. D.
President of Wilson/Grand Communications, Inc. a political consulting firm in Alexandria, VA.  Attended Boys Nation in 1979 and currently Dean of Education at Missouri Boys State.  Currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Missouri Boys State Board of Directors. 

John W. Grimm

Mark A. Demien
Currently part-owner and Vice-President of Demien Construction.  Also part-owner and managing partner of Bear Creek Golf Club and part-owner and Secretary of Demien Development Company.  Also owner of MDF Investments which invests in the redevelopment of blighted residential areas in the city of St. Louis.

J.A. “Jay” Felton
Currently, a Partner at Lathrop & Gage, L.C. in Kansas City, MO.  Also, an adjunct professor for the University of Missouri – Columbia Honors College and member of the University of Missouri Alumni Association Executive Board.  He was elected Governor of the 1981 session of Missouri Boys State.

Ritchie and owner of Preferred Title, LLC, a title insurance company in St. Joseph, MO.  Also serves as an adjunct professor of law at Missouri Western State College.  Currently serving as Director/Vice-President of The American Legion Boys State of Missouri.

Jim D. Maher

Timothy M. Miller, M.D.
Currently, Neuromuscular Disease Specialist and Attending Neurologist, University of Arizona, Department of Neurology.  Formerly in the same capacity at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Medical Center in Saint Louis, MO. He currently serves Dean of Operations at Missouri Boys State and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.

Michael S. Plunkett
Currently, the Chief Operating Officer for StrategicOne LLC in Kansas City, MO a database solutions provider for non-profit fundraisers.   Formerly, he was co-founder of MachineryLink, Inc., the largest agricultural equipment leasing provider in North America.  He is currently serving as the Dean of Counselors at MBS and a member of the MBS Executive Committee.

M. Scott Murphy
Currently serves as Vice-President of Advantage Capital, a private equity investing firm that finances small businesses. He served as Deputy Chief-of-Staff to MO Governor Roger Wilson and worked in MO Governor Mel Carnahan's Office. Elected Governor of Missouri Boys State and attended Boys Nation in 1987.

1988

Matt Blunt
Elected 54th Governor of the State of Missouri in 2004.  Formerly, Missouri Secretary of State (2000-2004).  Former member of the Missouri House of Representatives representing Missouri’s 139th District in Greene County near Springfield.

Alex Tuckness, Ph.D.
Currently, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Political Science, Iowa State University.  Also a visiting Fellow in Ethics, Harvard Center for Ethics and the Professions, Harvard University, 2003-2004.  Represented Missouri Boys State at Boys Nation in 1989.

Michael A. Williams
Currently, a partner at Lathrop & Gage, L.C. in Kansas City, MO.  He was elected Governor of Missouri Boys State in 1989.

Steven W. McCartan
Currently, an associate at Lathrop & Gage, L.C. in Kansas City, MO. He represented Missouri Boys State at Boys Nation in 1990. 

1991

Eric R. Greitens
Accomplished author, photographer and advocate for human rights.  Named Rhodes Scholar, Truman Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa in 1995.  Named to the USA Today All-Academic Team in 1995 while at Duke University.  Named a White House Fellow in 2005 and was assigned to the Department of Housing and Urban Development.  Also, serves in the U.S. Navy as a Seal Team Commander.  He attended American Legion Boys Nation program in 1991.

1993

Gabriel Murphy
Co-founder, President and CEO of CommuniTech.net, a web hosting firm in Kansas City, MO. In March of 2001, he was named to Ingrams' Magazine 40 Under 40 Class of 2001. At 25 years of age, he is the youngest person to ever to receive this honor. He has also been named by the Kansas City Star as one of the Tech 50 leaders of Kansas City. In June of 2001, Gabriel was named the Kansas/Western Missouri Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year. He is also a graduate of Cornell University.

1994

Jesse S. Kharbanda
Currently, Policy Advocate for the Environmental Law and Policy Center in Chicago, IL.  He was a Rhodes Scholar, studying development economics at Oxford University (M.A., 2001-03) and is an honors graduate in economics and environmental science from the University of Chicago (1999).

Brad St. Louis
Currently a Long Snapper/Tight End and special teams player for the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL.    He was a three-time All-Gateway Conference Tight End at Southwest Missouri State University. 

1998

Justin C. Gage
Currently, playing wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans in the NFL.  Formerly, standout football and basketball player at the University of Missouri – Columbia (2000-2004).
