Elton Fay has served Missouri Boys State for over 30 years in numerous capacities. He has served as assistant city counselor, city counselor and will always be remembered as one of the finest to serve in the position of dean of counselors in the programs’ history. His eight years as dean of counselors were some of the most prosperous times for the staff of the Boys State program. Many of the current program leaders cite Elton Fay as their mentor. As managing partner of Grimes, Fay and Gaeth LLC, a Columbia, MO law firm, he has continued to work hard for the Boys State program throughout Missouri. He also gives back in his community. He is a long time member of the Columbia MO Public School Board and recently served as that board’s president. He is currently a lifetime member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and serves as Secretary for The American Legion Missouri Boys State Memorial Trust Fund. Elton’s enthusiasm and compassion for the Boys State program have meant a great deal to the many citizens and staff he has served over the years.
