The
Trustees of The American Legion Missouri Boys State Memorial Trust,
Inc. would like to thank you for considering a donation which provides
financial support to The American Legion Boys State of Missouri,
Inc.
The American Legion Missouri Boys State Memorial
Trust, Inc. was created in 1982 to assist and perpetuate The American
Legion Boys State of Missouri program and to provide a mechanism
to receive donations. The success of The American Legion Missouri
Boys State Memorial Trust depends on corporate and personal donations
and gifts. The Trust operates as a tax-exempt not-for-profit educational
501(c)(3) corporation. Since no goods or services are rendered in
return for a donation to the Trust, contributions are fully tax
deductible. Check with your tax consultant for more information.
The
American Legion Boys State of Missouri provides young men with a
broad understanding of the privileges and responsibilities of citizenship
and a better understanding of how our government works. It is expected
that each citizen will take the ideas and knowledge he has gained
through Missouri Boys State and apply them in his own high school
and community.
During the week of Boys State, citizens participate
in a wide variety of educational and recreational activities and
hear inspirational talks from both state and national leaders. Many
of the nationally known speakers who appear at Missouri Boys State
are funded by the Trust. In addition, the Trust assists with registration
fees for eligible citizens and college scholarship funds. The Trust
also funds a small portion of Boys State recruiting and administrative
costs and various special projects, which enhance the Boys State
experience.
